Data this project wants and cannot get with a public records request, because the record is not the City of Oakland's to produce. If you hold any of it, or know where it is published, get in touch.
Oakland Unified School District expenditure and staffing
OUSD is a separate public agency; a records request to the City of Oakland cannot produce another agency's records. Partial expenditure and staffing extracts are published at openousd.org and at data.openoakland.org.
Alameda County jail bookings and District Attorney charging decisions
Both are county functions. The City holds arrest records, not custody or charging records, so a City request cannot reach them. County-level arrest totals from the California Department of Justice are already carried, tagged as county rather than Oakland figures.
