The Port reimburses the City at approximately $1.0 million per year. 8) What positions or other expenses are funded by the Port's payment? General services include general police services, fire services, streets, trees and traffic maintenance services provided to the Port of Oakland. The reimbursement rate is based on percentage of the total land area/lanes occupied by the Port. b. Lake Merritt Tidelands Trust Area services which includes Lakeside Park & Recreation Services, park grounds and facilities maintenance, security, algae control, and expenditure in support of the Necklace of Lights surrounding Lake Merritt.
